Günter Fuchs
Günter Fuchs served as head of Section II B of the Łódź Gestapo, responsible for Jewish affairs. The profile reconstructs the person’s function in Łódź, the Łódź ghetto and Chełmno through documented office, decisions, supervision or operational conduct. It does not assign every crime committed by an institution or region to one individual.

Postwar accountability
In 1963 the Hanover Regional Court sentenced Fuchs to life imprisonment for murder, attempted murder and assistance in the mass murder of residents of the Łódź ghetto.

The later execution of the sentence and Fuchs’s date of death are not securely established in the sources used here. Those fields remain open.
